Jerry Uelsmann

Jerry Uelsmann is a well-known film photographer and master of the dark room. He believed that through photography he could exist outside of himself, to live in a world captured through the lens. He received his degree at Rochester Institute of Technology in 1957. He began teaching photography at the University of Florida in 1960. His photos are famous because of his use of multiple enlargers and skilled work in the dark room, almost making it look like he uses Photoshop.
